It’s true that streaming providers aren’t always the most generous with discounts, especially since that many of them have done away with free trials. Black Friday is almost certainly the time when some of our favorite platforms decide to be generous to our wallets because Christmas is coming up.
Some streaming providers in 2022 began advertising their Black Friday discounts in the weeks leading up to the holiday, while others waited until the week of the event to begin advertising. However, depending on the consumer landscape in the second half of 2023, we may see a greater push from the likes of Disney and other platforms despite the fact that streaming platforms face an even tougher market with customers being more strategic about what they subscribe to and subscriber counts fluctuating.
